So far I think these Magma strings are pretty good. I bought them for an older acoustic bass that was getting hard to play because the truss rod was maxxed out and the saddle was as low as it could get, so the action was getting too high. I tried these 'unbeknownst to me' Magma strings because of their lighter gauge/less tension. Hardly any 40-95 gauge acoustic bass strings out there, especially at this price. I think these sound at least as good as the Fenders I replaced, plus they're much easier to play. Hasn't been long enough yet to comment on durability, but so far I'm pretty happy with them.
